I don't know exactly where the last 4 months have gone, but gone they have. During this time, Graysen has been
through brain surgery (she's fine now!), Patrick and Jaime welcomed their beautiful new daughter, Addison Leigh (born Feburary 24th
at 9:35 pm, weighing 8 lbs., 5 oz., 21 inches), Xander celebrated his 2nd birthday, and we all met up in Sedona to spend some quality family
time together. Click on the various links above to check out any or all of the pictures that interest you!

It seems like we just updated the site, yet another few months have flown by! We've been busy as usual, but well.
Xander was interested and a little confused about Halloween, but was a trooper and ended up enjoying himself.
Our holidays were wonderful, and Xander really enjoyed all of them this year, most especially our trip to California for
Thanksgiving. He loves being with Graysen, and this trip he also got to see all of his cousins and his second cousins.
Xander helped with the Christmas decorating, baking and candy-making, and he had a blast. The presents were just a bonus,
but a good one! We hope that each of you had a wonderful new year, and that 2009 brings you nothing but health and happiness!

After a lengthy hiatus, we have updated pictures of Xander, and our many adventures of the last 5 months! In late
May we spent a long weekend in Sedona with Craig and Shirley at their new home, along with Mark and Deb. It was Mark
and Deb's first time meeting Xander, and we all had a great time together! A few days after that, we left for a week
in Massachusetts, visiting our dear (and wonderfully hospitable) friends Karin and Gary and their children Kyle, Emma, Annabelle
and Jacob. We had the opportunity to drive all over the state, and to get to know their hometown,
visiting the Yankee Candle Factory, and Lake Wyola State Park. We spent the latter part of the trip touring Salem,
Boston and Cambridge, a trip we would like to take again when Xander is older and can enjoy the history of New England.
In July we flew to California to visit Jaime, Patrick and Graysen, and then road-tripped with the kids to Discovery
Kingdom and The Nut Tree for the weekend. It was so fun to take Graysen and Xander to places we loved to go when we were
little.
In August, Xander took swimming lessons and Sam returned to school. Only two semesters after this
and he'll graduate!
September found Xander and I on a plane once again, this time for a long-awaited visit to
North Carolina, to see the Campion/Vaught family. It was so wonderful to see Paige, Chris, and Ellie again, and to
finally meet Olivia! Xander was finally formally introduced to his Nanny and Papa, Paige's wonderful parents who
adopted me all those years ago at Sweet Briar, and who have embraced Sam and Xander just as lovingly. Paige and I
drove with all of the children up to Sweet Briar (Xander's first visit extra utero), to spend the day with one of our dear friends
from college, Imogen and her new daughter Isabelle. It was a little surreal to be at our alma mater with our babies!

So much has happened in the last 2 months! We were without a camera for a month, while ours was in for
repairs. It couldn't be fixed, so we got a new camera, free, and we've been trying to catch up ever
since. We had the backyard landscaped, and have been enjoying it immensely. Xander wants to be outside
almost as soon as he gets up in the morning, and as much as possible all day long. We're spending as much time as we can out
there before the real summer heat sets in. Xander is growing like crazy, runs everywhere, and is fairly fearless.
We chase him, and love on him when he slows down enough to let us. Sam is officially finished with his Spring semester at the U, so we can relax for
the summer. Life is so very good!
